It's a Flying...Disc?

Humans have this strange fascination with throwing objects. Whether it's throwing fists on the Jersey Shore or throwing balls at one another, there is something exhilarating and addicting from the act of throwing something.

Chefs throw pizzas. Librarians throw books. I throw Frisbees.

This revolutionary disc, angled with perfect precision and weighing a particular amount, floats majestically through the air. Its flight patterns, momentum, and distance are tough to judge and complete. But that's part of the mystery though, right?

I love me some fris....

Here Comes the Sun...

Today, I was an umpire for a few softball games (have to bring in the bacon somehow). What started out as a nerve-racking day full of unsuccessfully memorizing rules and hand signals turned into a beautiful, sunny day. I really do enjoy the sun. In a part of the country where sun is a rare sight throughout 3/4 of the year, I have learned to appreciate it that much more. This is going to be a great next few weeks of the quarter, but will make studying practically impossible.

I love killing my GPA.

Family

I love my family. It's great to have a support group who knows where your roots are and where your blood flows. They are the one set of people you are tied to for the rest of your life and will love you no matter what.

This great care and compassion that I have the privilege of experiencing is amazing. I am truly blessed to have my family in my life.

Let's Read A Book

One of the great calamities facing society today is the fleeting departure of physical Literature. Nowadays, people are so obsessed with listening to their iPods, or reading Sparknotes on the Internet. One forgets that losing him or herself in a book is a privilege and often exciting adventure. By reading a book at surface level, or delving into the truths that the text hides, there is much enjoyment to be taken from reading.

I like reading. I wish more people did.

Let's Be Real

Let's be real. Right now, we are in an age of science and reason. The days when the heavens were visible through the stars are gone, and probably never going to be back. The days of innocent and naive childhood, when my biggest concern was collecting all the dandelions from the yard and giving them away as a bouquet to my mother are nonexistent. Today, I am plagued by the misery of work, an unjust society, and life changing decisions that need to be made.

Where is the happiness in that?

The happiness in that lies in the mystery of tomorrow. The idea of an adventure waiting to be had and knocking at my door. Where will the decisions I make today take me in the future? It's baffling at times not knowing what lies ahead, but it's a challenge we all must face at some point.

Happiness is just a step away.

Sunny Days Gonna Come My Way

It's a sunny day in Seattle. This rare occurrence makes one really notice how beautiful this city can be. With things going on such as the compassion grant and April being the "green" month, Seattle has a lot going for it. The sun just adds to the glory of how great this city can be. This just proves that through the rain, clouds, and dreary weather, a brighter future lies ahead, waiting to be seen.

I am a huge Seattle fan and love to live here.
